Assalamualaikum..
Finally I can successfully drag my self to write something here.
As I wrote in my recent post, I had the second progress test of TOEFL couple days ago (weeks maybe). And the result revealed the next day.
ANDDDDD!!!
I got much better score this time! yeay!! Alhamdulillah.
Well, I didn't expect to get this score, because I had so much trouble during the test. In the first section, Listening Comprehension Section, I lost my focus (as always), and I tried to applied one of our teacher's trick, that is read and translate the options first before listen the conversation and choose the right answer. But I ended up trying to guess what the question will be and it confound my focus. The trick didn't work on me. And what even worse is that I cannot fill the answer sheet after I choose the answer. And in the end of the test, I need extra time to fill my answer into the answer sheet. I think I'd better to listen the conversation and listen the question first, then read the option and directly translate it, and choose the best answer.
In the second section, Structure and Written Expression, I spent too much time to read the sentence over and over again to find out which one is the best choice. Because in the first progress test, I worried too much about the limit of the time, and I just answered it right after I read the sentence. Bad news is it took the portion of last section's time, but the good news is I got only a few wrong answer for this section.
And the last section, Reading Comprehension Section. I did it in rush, because I only had a few time so I couldn't read the passage carefully. I read the question, then tried to find the key words in the passage, read it quickly, then immediately make a decision for the answer. In the last 10 minutes I did it even faster because I still have two more passages to do. I didn't care whether the answer is right or wrong. I only care about completing the test without no blank answer. And with a bit (a lot maybe) chaos, I finally finished it with extra time to fill my answer sheet.
My score is pretty much better but it doesn't mean I have time to relax, it push me even harder to maintain and even increase it. Because this score is not the standard score I set for myself. so, I will try much harder next time. Wish me luck for the next progress test and the real test in the end of this program!
